    We proudly celebrate our 100th anniversary! This milestone is an opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to our clients, business partners, and employees, many of whom have been with us for decades, for their trust and loyalty.   • 2024

    In honor of our centennial, the firm has undertaken a comprehensive corporate rebranding. This includes a refreshed corporate design, a new firm name under “Marxer Rechtsanwälte,” and a brand relaunch under “Marxer Attorneys.” This transformation bridges our strong heritage with our vision for the future.

  • 2023

    Expansion of the partnership with Mag. Sonja Schwaighofer, Mag. Franziska Goop-Monauni, and Dr. Christian Ritzberger.

  • 2015

    Expansion of the partnership with Dr. Hasan Inetas and Dr. Daniel Damjanovic.

  • 2010

    The addition of Dr. Florian Marxer in 2010 marked the involvement of the third generation of the founding family in the business.

  • 2006

    Development of a unified corporate design for Marxer & Partner Rechtsanwälte and its affiliated companies, strengthening the firm’s overall identity and external presence.

  • 2005

    For many years, we have supported the advancement of legal education, particularly by presenting the ‘Marxer & Partner Award’ at the University of Liechtenstein for the best master’s thesis in corporate, foundation, and trust law, as well as at the University of Innsbruck for outstanding dissertations, diploma, and master’s theses. Further collaborations with the University of Innsbruck include support for the doctoral program in Liechtenstein Law and financial sponsorship of the ‘JusAlumni’ network.

  • 2004 – 2009

    Expansion of the partnership with Dr. Mario König, Dr. Armin Dobler, Mag. Jochen Schreiber (2009), Dr. Michael Oberhuber, Dr. Stefan Wenaweser, Dr. Markus Summer (2008), Dr. Michael Grabher (2006), lic. iur. Jesús Cortés (2006, as a consultant), and Dr. Robert Schneider (2004).

  • 2004

    To mark the firm’s 80th anniversary, the Marxer Family Foundation endowed the firm with a prestigious library designed by renowned Viennese architect Prof. Hans Hollein. Reflecting the firm’s tradition, passion for collecting, and commitment to legal scholarship, the library now houses one of Liechtenstein’s most extensive collections of legal literature.

  • 1998 – 1999

    Expansion of the partnership with Dr. Peter Marxer jun. (1999), Dr. Herbert Oberhuber (as a consultant), Dr. Hermann Böckle, Dr. Karl Josef Hier, Dr. Johannes Michael Burger, and Dr. Heinz Grabher (1998).

  • 1996

    Since 1996, Marxer & Partner Rechtsanwälte has been the exclusive Lex Mundi member for Liechtenstein. The firm continues to expand its international network, holding memberships in organizations such as the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats (AIJA).

  • 1993

    The corporate group diversified into financial services with the founding of Centrum Bank by Dr. Peter Marxer, Dr. Peter Goop, and Dr. Walter Kieber. The bank acquired Confida’s wealth management business, enhancing the law firm’s ability to offer tailored solutions to international clients. In 2014, Centrum Bank merged with VP Bank AG.

  • 1988

    A significant transition took place with the firm’s relocation to Heiligkreuz 6, its current address. Alongside this move, the firm underwent a symbolic transformation, evolving from “Kanzlei Marxer” to “Kanzlei Marxer Goop Kieber” and later to “Marxer & Partner Rechtsanwälte”.

  • 1981 – 1988

    The partnership experienced substantial growth in the 1980s with the addition of Dr. Walter Kieber (1981) und Dr. Peter Goop (1988).

  • 1968

    The firm published a comprehensive description of Liechtenstein’s corporate system, a foundational text that later evolved into the “Liechtenstein Business Law Handbook.” After multiple editions and translations into english, the handbook remains an essential reference for lawyers, legal scholars, entrepreneurs, and students, covering corporate, banking, and financial market law.

  • 1964

    Dr. Peter Marxer and Dr. Adulf Peter Goop established Confida Treuhand- und Revisions AG. Over the decades, Confida evolved from a bookkeeping service into a prominent corporate group specializing in corporate and tax consulting, real estate, and fiduciary services.

  • 1959

    Dr. Peter Marxer joined his father’s firm in 1959 and, following his father’s passing in 1962, took over the leadership alongside Dr. Adulf Peter Goop.

  • 1925

    On June 10, 1925, Dr. Dr. Ludwig Marxer received official approval from the Princely Government to establish Kanzlei Marxer in Vaduz. As a distinguished lawyer, esteemed scholar, and politician, his vision and dedication played a pivotal role in transforming the firm from a one-man practice into Liechtenstein’s leading law firm.
